For its 15th anniversary, Amber Lounge will join forces with the three times Formula 1 World Champion, Sir Jackie Stewart in order to raise funds to help find a preventive treatment and a cure for dementia.

When Sir Jackie Stewart announced the launch of his global foundation ‘Race Against Dementia’, Amber Lounge’s CEO Sonia Irvine wanted to help in any way she could. Just like Sir Jackie Stewart and his wife Lady Helen, Sonia and her brother, former F1 driver Eddie Irvine, have their mother Kathleen fighting a battle with an illness over which they have no control.

It was a natural decision to connect this potentially life-changing foundation to the Amber Lounge Charity Event ‘Amber Fashion’. With both families so connected to the racing world and sharing the same drive and spirit of hard work, determination and courage, their joint pledge this year is to see the Amber Fashion Charity Auction achieve breakthrough results to help find a better future for today’s loved ones who tomorrow may be affected by this terrible thief of a disease.

The Amber Lounge Charity Auction will therefore contribute to the single goal of raising much-needed research funds. World famous personalities, VIP guests, sport professionals and CEO’s of global companies, as well as generous bidders, will come together on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Le Méridien Beach Plaza Hotel in Monaco to support this cause.

Among the coveted auction items are a fabulous and unique framed painting made by artist Arunas Rutkus, an impressive leather Luvienz trunk containing exclusive bottles of caviar-tasting champagne, a fabulous personal vintage package of champagne by Hatt & Soner, a series of unique motor racing photographs offered by Sir Jackie Stewart and many other rare collectors’ items and experiences.

This year’s headline fashion designer is British fashion house, SAAFiYAA, set to enchant the guests with elegant and sophisticated designs. F1 drivers will also walk the runway dressed in bespoke Apsley Tailors suits, while F1 ladies will showcase an exclusive silk collection from Silviya Neri.

The show will be followed by a fantastic Asian-style dinner overlooking the Mediterranean, before the long-awaited Amber Lounge Party gets started, featuring international live acts and famous DJs. As the F1 season gets underway in Melbourne this Sunday, we are racing towards the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, so don’t forget to book your ticket for an outstanding night!
